Hello and thanks for coming back. In an earlier post I talked about strategic branding in a broader sense to use with all social media.
In today’s post I want to talk about some FaceBook applications you can use to stand out and brand yourself on the big boy channel itself.
When I say FaceBook application I am not referring to constructing a farm, joining a mafia or finding an island full of treasure.
No the information I have today is a little more sophisticated and trust me not a waste of your valuable time building your internet mlm business.
So now that we agree time is of the essence let us proceed with the with the first app I wanted to mention today and it’s practical use for us.
If you are thinking of creating a fan page this is really almost essential to have.
It really allows you to customize and add things to your fan page that you normally couldn’t just using facebooks normal design.
This way you can be very creative and personal with your fan pages and really let you stand out and engage your visitors.
I thought this one was pretty interesting since I added a poll plug in to my mlm blog.
You can add this app to your profile or your fan page and engage your friends with questions about pretty much anything.
The more engaging and creative you are the more responses your going to get.
I set my first one up today and asked what people are struggling most with in internet mlm marketing.
I think this is a great tool to reach out to people and find out what they are lacking so we can be more focused with our contributions and content.
What a great form of strategic branding standing out as a service driven leader trying to help people with specific problems in their internet mlm business.
I see a lot of and have activated the integration with twitter and facebook but what about YouTube?
I now have this app on my Magic Tribe Fan Page where people can post blogs and articles.
I like the idea of people really be able to get to know ME on a page that gets a lot of visits.
I made sure I put the tab where it was visible so when visitors arrive they can check out the latest videos I have posted and learn even more about me and my mission to succeed and help others do the same.
By making your videos that accessible I think you are really putting a face and voice with the name and making great strides with strategic branding.
So let us move on to my last mention of the post.
This is a very nice branding tool.
You download this app set it up correctly and you can pull your rss feed from your blog right onto your profile page.
So every time you post about an hour later your content hits your time line just like you posted it there a good form of automation.
One thing I just found out is I can also pull the feed to my tribe page. So not only is my content going to my profile wall but the tribe wall as well automatically.

FBML is a great application and well created. Great for branding I have been using it and you can get very creative with it. Good luck with your poll Stephen and let us know how you got on infact be great to see a demo in video the RESULTS!! Can go viral?????

I’m using Networked Blogs and I’ll look into the other apps you’ve suggested. It’s easy to see the value of adding a poll if it works. That’s going to help you know what you’re group members want to read about, and enable you to get a great insight into your target market. But I guess you’ll need to ask catchy questions to get people to respond?

Yes the poll is a thing still in the works but yes you are going to need to be creative or I think when you hit a nerve it will get noticed.

I heard about static FBML but was not sure about what it was. Now I know. I don’t have a fan page yet but I will and I will definitely use that. That YouTube app is a good one too, right up my alley.

And yes the static FBML will help you add things you can’t normally do and really brand your page. It can be tricky but google is your friend.

Networked is great if you have a group you can also pull your feed there as well.

Static FBML is a must for a fan page as you can post just about anything, from images to video. Like the idea of a poll, will check that one out. Networked blogs is great and you can add it to anyt of the pages you own.

I love Networkedblogs app and I just found out yesterday that it can be set up to pull your blog feeds into your group and I implemented right away!
I have had my frustrations with the FBML app but I’m good at it now

Hi Steve interesting Blog as always- I’m still coming to terms with how broad I want to build Facebook – the trade off between depth versus width-
There is no doubt though that to be a serious online participant you need to master the skill of branding and I’ll revisit your blog and look at your ideas more closely

I know your not a mlm’er as you put it (lol) but you can’t beat the kind of exposure that you can get there.
I can see what you mean if you are marketing on other social medias you can’t spend all your time there.

Yeh, I created a Fan Page awhile back, but I did not do anything with it. I now have my blog feeding into it, so step one is done.
Yes did you test the feed? Just curious there is an option for that so you can make sure everything is working.
