Review on MLM Research and Training

by Steve Shoemaker on April 2, 2010

%keywordThere is without a doubt to much hype on the Internet these days regarding what’s hot and what’s not as far as  MLM opportunities go. Very creative and flashy adds to lure in the hapless business opportunity seeker at every turn it would seem. And alas it will always be  this way,  with the 50 plus million people involved in some type of home based business and these numbers growing by the thousands every day the harvest couldn’t be more ripe for those who would prey on the desperate and inexperienced seeker. I for one have fell prey to some of  these over hyped, dramatic pitches and have wasted plenty of time and money trying to attain a level of success that was supposedly sold to me in one neat tidy package. Surprisingly, this never manifested, no matter how many of my friends and family I presented this “great” opportunity to they just didn’t seem to get it and the whole process would finally just lose steam. Yep, it was discarded and put on the shelf with some of  my other attempts at entrepreneurship and slowly forgotten over time . As I look back at some of those dismal attempts  I realize some of the more important elements I was overlooking:

1.Training: No matter how great a business model you have it will refuse you if don’t know how and to whom to properly market it to. It’s like having a fancy car in the driveway with all the bells and whistles and the only thing missing is the KEYS. Sadly, there are a lot of great opportunities out there but the only people who can take advantage of them are the mavericks with 1,000′s of people in their down lines and lists who can make some serious cash with one email. Where does that leave the rest of us? Don’t give up just yet! Help is out there if your serious and willing to do the work and a lot of it is free if you know where to look. One source I would suggest would be a guy by the name of Jordan Schultz he has great blogs and information that be can invaluable to the novice seeker. And while were at it if you find anything with Mike Dillard’s name on it you better believe it’s the goods and you can take that to the bank. And last but certainly not least who can overlook the dynamic trio who founded and operate the highly successful MLMLeadSystemPros training system. I understand there ‘s a lot out there but these are some of the best in the market I guarantee it.

2.Research: To many people neglect this side of of the equation and find their so called golden opportunity stalling and all those promises that were made  not being met. Don’t fall into this category do your homework. Where do I start you say? Well here would be two good places Npros.com a great compilation of new and existing business’s and how they are performing. Another good resource would be MLMrankings.com they offer a lot with all kinds of great comparisons charts and reviews that tell you where a company is ranked what percentage of marketers are involved with virtually every MLM business opportunity out there. Watch this brief video for a quick overview:

Well that’s all I have for right now.  In closing, I would like to say this. No matter how much research you do, no matter how much you prepare and learn none of this means anything until you act. I’m not saying be hasty by any means but if your not making any progress whatsoever maybe your over analyzing….. Something to think about haha well ’til next time.

Let Today Be Your Day,

Steve Shoemaker

Hey Steve,

Your information is first class my friend. One suggestion and I often have to remind myself about this is to break one's content into smaller paragraph pieces of 3-4 lines at the most. I find this a challenge at times as I was an English teacher a long time ago so I always want to follow the rules. Apparently people are far more likely to actually read one's posts when we make it visually easier on the eye.

Great to see you taking action Steve. Keep it up and the benefits will come naturally.

Hi again Steve,

Black hat is the strategy many people use to go “under the Google radar” and make money quickly by spamming as many people as possible before Google “slaps” them and puts them out of business.

White Hat is the opposite, giving people great content – that's relevant. Google love this and will reward this. Gray hat is somewhere in the middle of the two extremes.

Cheers!

Steve,
some phenomenal Resources man… Also, as sad as it is to say, the reason why 97% of the people in this industry don't make money, is because they have left their business on the shelf. Congratulations for taking action and pulling yours off the shelf my Friend.

Steve, your are a great communicator. Thanks for pointing out the great need to focus on what will make us successful, and leave the jive and the BS well alone.

I love following two of my friends, Charles Heflin and Tom Rozoff who ONLY promote white hat SEO techniques. I have tried so many “black hat” or “gray hat” strategies to trick google, but giving what google wants – relevant articles that are educational, enlightening or entertaining is the only way to fly.
