Network Marketing Business: Word Of Mouth Marketing Is Alive!

In a network marketing business the right kind of promotion is essential to your success.

We hear a lot about using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other great ways of building our business online and they work fantastic there is no denying the power of what is happening on the internet and the shift that the business world has taken towards using online methods especially social media.

And if you are building a network marketing business that is a trend that you would really ignore at your own peril.

Especially since most of the companies in network marketing are able to do business internationally it would be crazy to ignore that.

But there is a lot to be said about building locally.

If you listen to a lot of the big names in network marketing the aim is to find people all over the world who will build locally???

That’s right even in this golden age of technology the end game remains the same for your network marketing business find people who will make suggestions and work their warm market first then start building out on the internet with blogging, social media etc.

According to the DSA (Direct Selling Associaton) a watchdog and advocate of network marketing there are currently 15 million Americans involved in a network marketing business of some kind.

I bet you that a bigger percentage of those people became involved with their network marketing business because the suggestion of  a friend or someone they were familiar with from some sort of offline recommendation.

According to the DSA face to face selling (and or recruiting in a lot of instances) makes up for 77% of all sales with the majority of these taking place in someones home.

Now I’m not discounting online methods whatsoever I totally believe in them for your network marketing business.

I’m just saying if your business is not experiencing the kind of growth that you want maybe you shouldn’t keep shying away from the offline tactics that a lot of attraction marketing experts discounted for a long time then wound up eating their words and started promoting hybrid type systems of online and offline methods to grow a network marketing business.

As for me and what I do here I don’t care how you grow your
business as long as it’s legal and ethical. I just think everyone should have the pleasure of having their own successful network marketing business.

  1. Good point, Steve. I am trying to join a local entrepreneur’s club in hopes of doing that very thing. Also, I might try to work with a local Chamber to see if I can get more connected. You have given some great advice here. Let’s see if I can find my to-d0 list. Ah, here it is. I’ve been writing it on a roll of toilet paper, and I’m almost at the end of the roll ….

    All the best,
