MLM Program: Your Pain Or Your Gain?

by Steve Shoemaker on June 12, 2010

So you have made up your mind to joi%keywordn an mlm program.

Where do you start?

What do you look for?

This is a basic outline to give you some pointers on what criteria you will want to base that decision on before diving into internet mlm.

Leadership: You will want to look at whose at the reigns here.  A good management team can make an mlm program great even with average products.

The same is true for poor management. The best product in the world can’t withstand poor decision making. Any company worth looking into should be transparent about who’s calling the shots.

Once you know who is remember google is your friend.  Run names through the search engines if the dirt’s out there you will find it.

Compensation: How are you going to be paid? Binary? Matrix? GTP? along with so many others.

These are all ok in and of themselves but how are they set up within the mlm program your interested in?

How many people do you sign up or how many sales do you make before you are eligible to make money??

Do I give up my first sale or sales to my upline? These are important questions to ask depending on how fast you need your ROI.

Another thing to consider is are there monthly fee’s to be affiliated or do you have auto ships?

Find these things out before you give away hard earned money.

Trends: What’s going on in the world? What needs need to be met? Here are some examples of what I see happening now.

Gold is at an all time high and keeps climbing.

There are more people now than ever that need financial advice and direction.

There are more obese and unhealthy people than ever so how could you help them?

Online shopping is booming right now the last stats I saw there was a 20% increase last year.

Now your in luck because there are some great mlm programs out there that can answer the needs or are positioned take advantage of the current financial state.

The most important thing to do is combine the practical, objective information and facts with your passion and interest.

In other words weigh the cold hard facts but also make your decision on what you are going to be driven to pursue in the end this will be the right decision for you.

I would love to hear from you leaders out there what is your advice? What would you add to this if your were advising someone about to jump into internet mlm??

Just can’t wait to read your comments. Also if you find this post helpful click on the little buttons at the top and hey don’t forget to bookmark.

Well until next time………

My daughter was laughing when reading one paragraph on your post “… eligible to make money??Do I give up my first sale or sales to my upline? These are important …” it also made me think about the day I ran across my long time friend.

I’m glad she enjoyed it. But it’s kind of sad that is true with companies you pay to join then you have to give up sales as part as their compensation plan. I have seen some companies it would be worth it but not many.

Jordan,
Yes we have to have something that people need if we don’t how can we present our business as a solution? Your right technology can be fickle but there has been a lot of money made by being at the right place at the right time as well.

Marcus I believe this to. I mean they both work together to me. If you love the products and believe in them that is just another boost to your confidence and that belief will come across as genuinely sincere.

Josh pain can be your friend it can let you know you have left the comfort zone which we have to do to succeed. I have come to like pain in certain forms because of this.

Hey Steve,

I’ve never meet anyone who is successful and didn’t go through any pain. Pain is just part of getting stronger as we develop. Great topic!

Chat with you later…

Hey Steve,

Great post and advice my friend.

My only advice is if you want success then be prepared to have some pain. However, I assure you the pain will be worth it, as long as you’re not killing yourself. The best way to avoid that is to take direction from the leaders.

They will save you from a lot of unnecessary pain.

Have a great day buddy,

Hey Steve,

this is a great article that educates people that are interested in joining an MLM.

One thing I like to add that it is also important to read the policies and procedures before joining an MLM. You want to make sure that the company is being fair to their marketers.

Steve,

Those are great things to think about. The needs of people. It’s essential to have a product that people NEED.

I personally stay away from technology based companies, because the competition is so steep on all technology products, and what’s HOT TODAY will be Gone Tomorrow.

“Gold is at an all time high and keeps climbing.”

Yes no wonder Numis is taking over the world! :)

A lot of people say the products don’t really matter but I believe they do. You have to love your company’s products and you have to love what being a network marketer means – getting on the phone and talking to people!
