%keywordA Cpanel backup for

wordpress

very easy to do and very

critical.

While I am sure there are more effective ways to back up wordpress I don’t think any are as easy.

A Cpanel backup can be a great solution until you figure out the more techie ways to this with plugins or using an FTP.

I wanted to write a quick post along with a video to show just how easy this is to do and how it save you a ton of headache if you at least have some kind of backup for your site.

Ok here we go…

Well there we are.

You can do a Cpanel backup for you site and save yourself a ton of trouble.

Again think about the pros and cons and do what works best for you.

A little tip if you don’t want to download Cpanel backup to the computer just keep it in the backup section or have it emailed to you like I showed in the video and create a folder specifically for it in your email client.

If you found this internet marketing advice helpful please click on any of the facebook or twitter buttons lying around or look to your right and comment in the facebook section.

Well any more tips about a Cpanel backup or any other kind would love to hear about it in the comments below as well.

Take Care,

The Cpanel backup is a manual solution, covering only the database backup, and data transfer is not encrypted most of the time. There is other solutions offering automatic and manual encrypted backups of files and databases. Like Website 2 Backup.

Hi Steve:

I just noticed my Internet friend, bookmarked this article,so I came to look, only to find I’m in the same boat!Yesterday,I upgraded my Wordpress to the latest(after going into my hosting and backingup my Mysql database)(now after getting an upgrade notice from my host,I realize I should’ve done it from there, not clicking the button in my dashboard),but,I read one must back up more than just the database,so as I say,I need to also watch your video and learn a more thorough backup method.

I was gonna install WP DB Backup, too.

Hello Richard and thanks for stopping by. Well until the worst happens most people don’t think about what could happen. I didn’t until I wiped out a folder while I was in filezilla and saw the names of plug ins rushing by on the screen. You will find it is manual back up but thorough so if something does happen at least you have a good starting point again.

Hi Steve,

This is VERY good advice! I know of a couple of people who lost their content because they didn’t make a backup. I use the “WordPress Database Backup” which does backup my files automatically and sends me an email. So hopefully, should something ever happen to my blog, I can just upload it and I’m back in business.

Thanks for always providing great content, Steve! This is very helpful.
