This post is part of a series I will be posting for a few weeks of some little used cool facebook tricks that will help you stand out from the crowd with a few quick clicks and very little work.
Most people understand how to get around in facebook and check and send messages and keep up with people and even some basic networking but are not exploring using any cool facebook tricks.
But I believe there are some cool facebook tricks that we can use with our profile and behind the scenes that can make us stand out and be a little more memorable to the crowd.
I’m sure you have heard of the vanity url’s with like pages or maybe you have heard of the application Memorable Web Address where you can list your profiles and pages and get your own simple and unique id something like this http://groups.to/mlmleadgenerationpros/.
And both of these are very cool facebook tricks. But how about something where you have more say so to what you want people to associate you with and can use to brand you even more?
This is where using the username comes in. Did you know that you can create a url for your facebook profile instead of the typical random numbers and letters you see with most profiles.
This ranks as one of the cool facebook tricks because it makes your profile address easy to remember and so can other people.
Also if you want to share your address on forums or Better Networker for instance you don’t have try to remember or go to facebook and copy and paste that mile long url.
See when I want to give someone my facebook address it looks like this http://www.facebook.com/hellofromsteve simple and easy to remember and by the way if we are not friends on facebook please click through and connect with me I would love to hear from you and any cool facebook tricks you know or just say hello.

Hey Ilka I appreciate that. I do try to be conscious that my videos are easily followed that means a lot. I use camtasia 5 they have version 7 out so it’s a little dated but works for what I’m doing. If you have a mac camtasia comes standard I think.
