Hello and thanks for reading my new cool facebook tricks post for this week.
I have a nice little trick I think will help you drive some traffic to your like page if your just starting out or maybe you have had one for some time but just not sure what to do next.
Well this is where creating a facebook event for your page can help you get some more attention and traffic to your like page to help your fan base grow.
Why an event?
Well you could just go to your like page and click on the Suggest To Friends link and send private messages or create an event and give it a little more flair and with some more cool facebook tricks I’m discussing you can keep the event in the top 3 events on the home page.
It’s not very hard to do as I will show you in this cool facebook tricks video.
Ok the beauty of shooting unscripted cool facebook tricks videos are the mistakes you make.
I caught the one while I was shooting but as I was editing the video I seen that not only did I change the begin date I changed the end date as well I shouldn’t have done that sorry.
I would suggest leaving the event up for about 7 days and inviting your friends in blocks just some more cool facebook tricks.
And please if you want to visit my Like Page please here is the link I would appreciate it.
So do we have any cool facebook tricks to share I would love to hear about them.
Also if you thought this was helpful share it by clicking on the facebook and twitter and some the other buttons you see.
Again if you have any cool facebook tricks or internet marketing advice you would like to share please do so in the comment section below.
Take Care,
Steve

Hey Steve
Now I know why I am getting so many event invitations on Facebook
Nice tutorial, don’t worry, I always go unscripted as well, makes it more natural.

Hey what are you saying tired of hearing from me lol. No it does help with the traffic. I had a couple of people subscribe to the training and trust me it’s a win/ win. Yeah I could have scrapped the video but that can be to time consuming. Better to let people see the mistakes as well a more complete tutorial. Thanks for the visit.
Steve
Thanks for the tips. It’s an interesting idea.
Thank you Melodie great book review as well on The Go Giver I enjoyed that.
Steve,
I have utilized Facebook ppc effectively for the past few months but I have primarily driven my traffic to a capture page off Facebook. I am just now putting a Like Page together so your tip about Events is very timely and much appreciated. Great post!
Eddie
Hello Eddie yes it would seem people like Ryan Diess suggest we send people to capture pages on facebook. That is a great idea when you think about it. Less threatening for people than being sent to a page elsewhere. I would really like to know how that works out.
Steve
Hey Steve…thanks for the great video. I do like the idea of using events to drive traffic to your like page, but I am wondering how this sits with Facebook? Are they ok with it or is it bending the rules?
Louise
Hey Louise that’s a very valid question you have. Here is my take on it what I’m doing is no different than all the people I see using events to get traffic to a webinar or any other means of providing value. I know people in MLSP who do that every Wednesday and there have been no suspensions or even a mention of it. So if it’s a strategy you think you could use I would say go full steam ahead. Again I don’t know of anyone getting their account shut down because of it. And thanks for the visit.
Steve
Thanks Steve, that’s good to know and it is definitely a strategy I could use.
