Most people don’t actually join your company, they join you.
They will join because they like and trust you. So, how do you get people to like and trust you. Well, to start, you might want to read the book, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
Next, learn how to create rapport. People like people who are like them, so learn to mirror their style (without obviously copying or mimicking them). For example, if they talk fast, then you talk fast.
If they use a lot of visual words then you use visual words. If they are kind of laid back, then you relax. Find common areas of interest – children, sports, politics, business, investing – the more in common you have, the more they will like you.
Most of all, ask questions and get them talking.
People love to talk about themselves. There was once a study done on an airplane. The interviewer was told to ask the person sitting next to him questions during the entire flight and do everything possible not to reveal much about himself.
Upon leaving the airplane, the interviewee was asked about the interviewer and commented that he was the best communicator and most interesting person they had ever met. Just goes to prove the power of building rapport through questions.
One thing you can guarantee in network marketing is objections.
However, unlike how most people think, objections are not bad.
They are actually veiled requests for more information. For example, if your prospect says that they can’t afford it (your product or to join the business), they are really asking you to show them more value, so they can justify the expense.
If a prospect says they don’t have time, they are just asking you to show them how they could work the business into their crazy schedule. If they say they’re not interested, they are likely saying, you still haven’t peaked my interest.
So, since you know you’re going to get objections, wouldn’t it make sense and the purpose of this network marketing tips post is to know how to handle them?
The first step is to repeat back what they said in a question form. For example, if they said, I don’t have time, you would say, “so if I’m hearing you correctly, you’re saying that you don’t feel like you have enough extra time to devote to a business like this, is that correct?”
The next step is to dig deeper, by saying, “would you elaborate on that a little?” Now listen and take physical or mental notes of what they say.
Next, say, supposed I was able to completely satisfy that concern, would there be anything else holding you back?” If the answer is no, then show them how to leverage their time using the internet, webinars, teleconferences, CD’s, DVD’s and other tools that can be marketing for them 24/7.
Offer to help them with follow-ups, if they get in a jam. Help them see that your business is a good solution to their business, as they could attain time and financial freedom within 5 years or less. Work on your answers to objections and you’ll be excited to get them.
Or anywhere in Florida for that matter it can be a possibility!

Another HUGE mistake network marketers make is they talk too much.
Everyone wants to share all the knowledge they’ve gained or they talk because they’re nervous. The truth is that the more you talk, the worse you will do in network marketing.
As you learned in a previous network marketing tips, ask questions to uncover needs, wants, dreams, and pain areas, then use the company or upline produced tools (web sites, webinars, teleconferences, CD’s, DVD’s, etc.) to present your business.
Tools are duplicatible and people are not, so when you use a tool (instead of you doing an elaborate presentation), you prove to your prospect that anyone can do this business.

Relationships last a lot longer than downline distributors.
Building a relationship creates loyalty that goes way beyond the business. Some of my best friends are people I’ve met and worked with in network marketing.
So, how do you build a friendship with those in your downline? Be more interested in them and their success, than your own. Use questions to discover their Why, goals, dreams, aspirations, and then help them get there.
Zig Ziglar (famous motivational speaker and author) says, “You can have everything you want in life, if you just help enough other people get what they want.”
Be more concerned about them, then the money they are going to make you, and the money will come naturally.
Ask any topearner and they will tell you that it is important to build relationships first and during working with people. It’s true, so go out each day to make some new friends.
New York our nations hub of business activity is not immune to the affects of the recession that has hit a lot states and Americans very hard.
Even though the state has seen some improvement in employment and job losses it is far from where it should be and not the scenario in which I would want to risk my families well being on either.
New Yorkers like others in the U.S. need to start looking for alternate ways to generate income. To move out of the traditional flow of making money and look at work from home opportunities that are available.

F.E.A.R. stands for False Expectations Appearing Real – you start thinking about all the terrible things they could say or how they could react or the negative impact it could have on your relationship.
Prior to your contacting them, is any of that true? Of course not, so fear is not real and you can control it.
Instead of entertaining those negative thoughts, think of all the positive things that could happen – they could be very interested and join your business, then proceed to become a superstar, resulting in you making a ton of money.
They could join your business and you could enjoy traveling with them on exotic vacations paid for by your network marketing company.
They could use your product and it could transform their life, causing them to be grateful to you.
Think on the positive things, walk in faith, and good things will happen.
One mistake network marketers make is that they don’t follow-up or don’t do it effectively.
When you use tools, the follow-up is critical.
Now, most people don’t like to follow-up because of fear – fear of rejection, fear of looking foolish when they ask questions you can’t answer.
Well fear is all in your mind , so don’t allow it to destroy your business.
Instead, step out in faith and make those follow-up calls and appointments. Many will not be interested in your business/products, and that’s okay. You’re just sifting through the masses looking for a few diamonds and you can’t find them unless you follow-up.
In other words they learn all about their company and products and then vomit that information all over their prospects. How appealing is that?
To establish yourself as a professional, learn to ask questions to uncover needs, wants, and pain areas.
One of the best network marketing tips I was taught was to FORM people.
Ask questions about their Family – Are you married? What does your spouse do for a living? Do you have kids? How old? What are they involved in? Bet you love being at their activities?
Ask about their Occupation – what do you do for a living? How long have you done that? What do you like about it? Don’t like? Is that something you see yourself doing the rest of your life?
Ask about Recreation – what do you like doing when you aren’t working? Any great vacations planned? Have you ever been on a cruise or have you ever been to (Tahiti, Maui, Europe, etc)?
Finally, ask about Money – you must make a lot of money in your job/profession, right? I’ve got a new business and I’m going to be making a lot of money in the coming years, have you come across any really great investments?
The goal is to discover their needs, wants, dreams, and pain areas.
If you think you’ve uncovered something, you may have to dig a little further, before going on. FORM works well over the phone or in person and it sounds very natural – people love talking about themselves, so start asking questions and you’ll be amazed what you learn.
